but those forms are not used anymore in the spoken language and the colloquial forms mentioned above (единайсет, дванайсет etc.) are considered correct even in the written language, where you can see both forms.

In the spoken language, the colloquial pronunciations are:единайсе, дванайсе, тринайсе,…, деветнайсе, двайсе, трийсе, четирсе, педесе, шейсе, седемдесе, осемдесе, деведесе – the last
–т is omitted and in the петдесет and деветдесет the т disappears for easier pronunciation. The number 40 suffer more changes.!!!

Gender and number of the cardinal numbers
The number 1 has forms for masculine – един, feminine – една, neuter –
едно and plural – едни.Един мъж - masculine - a man
Една жена - feminine - a woman
Едно дете - neuter - a child
Едни хора - plural - people
These forms are actually used as indefinite articles in Bulgarian – see Definite and indefinite articles.
The number 2 has forms for masculine – два and feminine and neuter – две.
Два стола - (стол - masculine) - two chairs
Две маси - (маса - feminine) - two tables
Две легла - (легло - neuter) - two beds
The numbers хиляда (1'000), милион (1'000'000) and милиард (1'000'000'000) have forms for plural –
хиляди, милиони, милиарди.The numbers милион and милиард also have countable forms – милиона, милиарда – see Countable forms of masculine nouns.
Example: много милиони but двайсет милиона

| The numbers have masculine personal forms which are used with the masculine nouns, which mean persons. |
To form the masculine personal form from the number 2, 3 and 4 it is necessary to add the ending –ма (for the number 2 – to the masculine form - два).

To form the masculine personal form from the numbers 5, 6, 9 and 10 is necessary to add the ending –има.

To form the masculine personal form from the numbers 7 and 8 is necessary to add the ending –ина. Note that the vowel e in the last syllable disappears.

Examples: двама мъже (but два стола), две жени, две деца.
With the word мъже, the masculine personal form is used, because мъж (man) is a masculine noun meaning male person. With the word стол (chair) the standard cardinal number is used.
Important: The masculine noun after a cardinal number in
masculine personal form should be in plural, not countable form:Correct: трима студенти
Wrong: трима студента, три студента, три студенти
